Admissions Requirements
Wellspring Hawaii campers must be between the ages of 13-18.
Participants must be at least 20 pounds overweight and have been struggling with their weight control for at least one year.
Campers must view attending Wellspring Hawaii as an opportunity. Wellspring Hawaii will not admit those who are opposed to coming to camp.
Wellspring cannot admit campers with medical issues that require hospitalization.
If you or your child meet these criteria and Wellspring Hawaii is the place for you,
There are several ways to submit an application.
1. Submit your application online.
2. Download an application and fax or mail to Wellspring.
3. Apply over the phone by calling Wellspring toll free at (866)-364-0808.
As one of Wellspring’s smallest programs, Wellspring Hawaii fills up quickly. So be sure to get your application in to reserve a spot!
A deposit is due with the application at the rate of $600 per session ($1,200 for the full summer session). Once the application and deposit are received, your family will be sent an enrollment packet with questions for the camper, parents, and the family doctor. The deposit is non-refundable, unless upon receipt of the enrollment packet Wellspring denies the camper admission. Campers are admitted once all forms have been received and reviewed.
Payment: The balance of the tuition after the deposit is due at least eight days before the session start date. Payment can be made by check, money order, credit card, or student loan disbursement. The listed price and fees include any and all expenses while the camper remains at Wellspring Hawaii with the exception of any required medical treatment.
Dismissal: Wellspring reserves the right to remove any participant whose health or actions create a safety risk, impedes the operation of the camp, or puts at risk the safety of other campers. Wellspring is a safe environment. Violence and threats of violence are not tolerated and are causes for dismissal. Other dismissal offenses include the use of alcohol, tobacco and illegal use of drugs. Another reason for dismissal is refusal to participate in key elements of the program, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and morning walks. Attending a Wellspring Camp must be viewed as an opportunity, not as an unfair burden.
Cancellation Insurance: Cancellation Insurance may be purchased from Wellspring for 15% of the total tuition cost. Families who choose to purchase this insurance are entitled to a pro rata tuition refund for all days missed. This insurance may be selected at the time tuition is paid (at least seven days before the session start date).
